Indigenous women experience poorer health compared to their non-indigenous counterparts

Indigenous women experience poorer health compared to their non-indigenous counterparts. Many Indigenous women suffer health problems due to the context of their lives, with significant impacts being related to forced removals from family, marginalisation, says Anna Ruth Bufallo, public health expert. She is originally from Mandaree, North Dakota, located on the Fort Berthold reservation. She has devoted her education and career to improve the health and lives of the public, primarily of Native American Women. She shares various challenges faced by Native women including accessing to health, trafficking and so forth with Dev Kumar Sunuwar.
